derSite is personal site of David E. Robinson.

I am an artist and designer based in New Orleans, LA. Currently, I work as an Instructional Technologist at Tulane University where I am also pursuing my doctorate in New Media Studies.

I have degrees in Cinema Studies from Yale University and New York Univesity. My current academic work concentrates on digital technology as it relates to a matrix of ideas, including vision, narrative, space, performance and pedagogy.

My artistic interests involve an exploration of (personal) history and (cultural) memory, if I may use one of those nifty turns of phrase made popular by postmodern theory, especially as these concepts relate to technologies (past, present and future) and consumer culture.
